Lino Guido, the La Manta boat captain, took this couple fishing
offshore/inshore North near the Bat islands. They booked a full day charter
so, we had enough time to split the day and fished offshore early morning
and did inshore 3-4 hours. They had a beautiful day, and although, there
were no sails nor marlin landed they had enough fish for dinner (a very good
sized Dorado, a Cubera snapper, a couple of Yellowfin tuna) and released
four very good sized Roosterfish.
Murray Robinson and his son drove from Tamarindo since they wanted fishing near Playa del
Coco in a spot near the Bat Islands. We departed from
Coco around 7.45am and headed to North fishing spots since the weather is
calm enough. These guys had a great day landing four very good sized
Roosterfish (released) and two Dorados for the table.
Playa Blanca, El Codo, El Camello are some of the best rooster fishing spots
in the area. These spots are 1.5hours boat running; so, a full day charter
is needed to be booked on board one of the inboard boats.
Mike Bennett and his wife were fishing with us on board La Chila boat for
November 7. They had a nice day and sent us a couple of pictures and a
little feedback you can read below:
I wanted to thank you for an amazing experience,
Capt. Arnold and his deckhand were perfect. The were so
courteous and professional. They really tried to put us on the fish.
We caught 7 Mahi-Mahi and 1 jack. The deckhand was constantly
busy checking everything, putting fresh bait, cleaning the fish we
caught and cleaning the boat.
For lunch he made us fresh sevicha from our catch. We were blown
away.
I will be giving a great trip advisor review and sending you a
picture for your website if you want to use it.

Genaro,
Attached you will find some pictures from my recent fishing
trip. I was booked on the Captain Nayo with Jesus and Kevin. We had
a great day fishing. Launched at 7:30 from the RIU Guanacaste,
hooked up with the two rooster fish before 8:30 including a 50
pounder.
After that, we went in search of sailfish. What we caught was
even better! Jesus estimated the Blue Marlin at 400 pounds and over
10 feet long! We fought that fish for 2 hours. Please let me know if
you can not open the photo of the marlin and I will try to send it
in another format.
Thank you again for a great time. Me and my son will never
forget our trip to Costa Rica.
Lino Guido took Daniel Heaton and his wife fishing near Riu Guanacaste on board our
